I am a retired nurse educator and took classes in Adult learning. I have Post secondary teaching credentials from the State of California. Adult brains process information differently then children's brains. Many many adults have difficulty in reading that comes from lack of individualized assistance as children. Lack of reading ability has nothing to do with intelligence and most adults who are willing to put in some time and work can learn to read with a little help and encouragement. Classes last about one hour and I would do 2 classes a week. (I could do one two hour session)I could do 2 individuals or a class that would have up to 5 members. Depending on what the needs of the members are. (Each person would have an individual evaluation)
